The short version

  1. We keep only what you give us: your email and, if you like, your first name, country and chosen pieces.
  2. We use it to tell you when ordering opens, and to send studio notes only if you asked for them.
  3. Leave the list at any time with the link in any of our emails, or write to studio@jordsken.se.
  4. We never sell your data, and we use no tracking or advertising cookies.

Who we are

Jordsken is the design studio of Christopher Higham, a sole trader (enskild firma) in Stockholm, Sweden. He is responsible for your personal data as its controller, and you can reach him at studio@jordsken.se.

Why we may use it

We add you to the list, and send studio notes, only with your consent. You can withdraw it at any time. We keep the site secure and reply to trade enquiries because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. We keep consent records because the law requires us to be able to show your consent.

Who helps us

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and the list (in the EU), forwards our email and blocks bots.
  • Brevo, an EU company, sends our emails.
  • Google runs our inbox (Gmail), where your messages to us arrive.
  • Vimeo and YouTube play our films, but only after you press play.

We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.

Where it’s kept

Your sign-up is kept in the EU. Cloudflare, Google and Vimeo are US companies, so some data may be handled in the US. Where that happens, it is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • See the personal data we hold about you
  • Have anything that’s wrong corrected
  • Have your data deleted
  • Limit how we use it, or object to it
  • Take your data elsewhere, in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time

To use any of these, write to studio@jordsken.se and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to IMY, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, at imy.se.

Cookies

We set one cookie, and only when you enter the preview password. It keeps you signed in for 30 days and is strictly necessary for that. We use no tracking or advertising cookies, and page counts are made without cookies. Vimeo and YouTube may set their own cookies, but only after you press play on a film.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If the change is important, we’ll email everyone on the list before it takes effect.
